About the museum
The museum displays the Perani and Menarini collections, acquired by the Comune di Budrio, with more than a hundred burattini from the first half of the 20th century and the booth equipment of the Bolognese puppeteers Amilcare Gabrielli, Arturo Veronesi and Umberto Malaguti. There are also puppets by the brothers Emilio and Filippo Frabboni.
A small theatre that once belonged to Malaguti hosts shows and animations by reservation. In the Casina del Quattrocento, one of the rare ancient houses of the historic centre, is the collection assembled by the couple Zanella and Pasqualini.
The museum offers educational activities and guided tours.
