About the museum
The visitor centre “Tradizioni e biodiversità in una valle fantastica” aims to promote the strong themes of the Soana Valley, closely linked to biodiversity: unspoiled ecosystems, the quality of the land and its products, local history, traditions, legends and old crafts.
It is housed in a chalet built by the municipality of Ronco with the contribution of the Piedmont Region and the Comunità Montana Valli Orco e Soana. The interiors were fitted out with funding from the Camera di Commercio di Torino, with traditional furniture, information panels, insect collections and study material on the park's biodiversity. There is also a “living” space available to craftspeople, producers and residents, who can show visitors traditional processing techniques, handicraft products and the traditions of the valley.
