Engravings and woodcuts by artists of the Associazione Liberi Incisori depict landscapes, places and architecture of the territories once belonging to the Gonzaga family.
The Museo del Po, municipally owned and founded in 1983, has as its theme the river, its territory and its people. It is housed in the Palazzo Ducale di Revere, which began as a fortification started by the people of Modena in 1125 and completed by the Mantuans, then ceded to Luigi Gonzaga in 1332. In the 15th century Ludovico II Gonzaga entrusted Luca Fancelli with converting it into a representative residence; in the 18th century the palace passed to the Habsburgs.
The route unfolds through eleven rooms, after the entrance with bookshop and the large map of the Po: the castle and its patron, the multimedia room, prehistory and protohistory, the period from the Romans to Humanism, Revere in the 20th century, boats and boat bridges, floating mills and water-powered workshops, ancient and modern cartography, hunting, fishing and birdlife. The archaeological section has been developed since 2017 with four exhibitions that became permanent displays.
An external annex of the museum is the floating mill moored on the right bank of the river, a few blocks from the palace. The museum is recognised as a museum of regional interest.
