About the museum
The museum was founded in 1988 by the Pelino family inside the historic confetti factory in Sulmona, on Via Stazione Introdacqua. The town is famous for this production, and the factory is one of the oldest in the sector.
The route is on two floors. A hall on the ground floor recreates the old factory with equipment from the 19th and 20th centuries, including an original machine installed in 1893. Machinery used to produce confetti since the company’s foundation is on show, along with numerous packages and the awards received over time.
The building consists of two main bodies in the Umbertine style, with the production department in the centre. Entry to the museum is through the confetti sales areas.
