About the museum
The museum is housed in the former communal bakehouse of Arcinazzo Romano, built after the Second World War so that residents could bake their bread. The building was also a meeting place for the village women.
The collection includes farm tools, implements for raising and slaughtering animals and for working wool. Many of the objects are mortars, among them an old stone one used for grinding salt, which is one of the oldest pieces. Most of the material was donated by village families and catalogued by pupils of the lower secondary school. Some items are used in the living Christmas nativity scene.
