About the museum
Ca' Malanca is a 19th-century building at an altitude of 721 metres, just below the ridge that separates the Sintria valley from the Lamone valley, from which there is one of the broadest views of the Apennines. The building has been restored and preserved as a place of remembrance of the Resistance.
The documentation centre, established in 1990, aims to document the period 1944–1945, when the Allied advance came to a halt for eight months along the Gothic Line. The permanent exhibition gathers documents, photographs, posters and explanatory panels on the War of Liberation (Guerra di Liberazione) in Romagna.
