About the museum

The museum is housed in the parish church of Santi Giovanni Battista e Lorenzo, in Piazza Cavour in Signa, and was opened in December 2010 with the support of the Comune, under the patronage of the Regione Toscana and of the Associazione Musei Ecclesiastici Italiani (AMEI).

The visit route includes the church, the forecourt, the cloister and some rooms of the rectory (canonica). Since 2008 the liturgical furnishings linked to the cult of Blessed Giovanna have been on display. The museum also collects and preserves works from the churches of the vicariate.
