About the museum
The museum, founded in 2003 on the initiative of the artist Dedalo Montali, is housed in the 18th-century church of the Immacolata Concezione in Rodello, now deconsecrated, and is a section of the Alba diocesan museum. The route also includes the reception room and the surrounding corridors.
The main core consists of over two hundred works by Montali, divided into thematic and chronological routes. At the centre is the chapel dedicated to Saint John XXIII, for which the artist designed the project and furnishings in 1970.
The museum also holds works by young artists trained at the Accademia Albertina, produced in the years 1964–1965 at the invitation of Paul VI.
