About the museum
The museum grew out of the collecting passion of the Agrifani family and also bears the name Agrilandia Museum. It was founded by Marcello Agrifani, who is still its director.
The collection brings together wooden and stone sculptures and objects from the last four hundred years linked to work in the fields: cereals, vines and olive trees. More than two hundred pieces have been classified as items of national interest by the Soprintendenza of Lecce.
The route also illustrates the processing cycles of oil, milk, wheat and wine in Salento, with ploughs, sickles, seed drills, mills and terracotta jars.
