About the museum
The museum is located in Torriana, a hamlet of Barge on the slopes of Monte Bracco, in a rural building that forms part of an old farming settlement. The permanent display documents the farming and craft life of the area before mechanisation in the 1960s.
In the former cowshed a typical kitchen is reconstructed alongside other productive activities; in the former hayloft you can see the bedroom and the workshops of the blacksmith, the carpenter and the shoemaker. A dedicated space is devoted to the cultivation of chestnut and vine and to the winemaking process.
Information published on opening times is scarce, so it is best to contact the Comune or the venue before visiting.
