About the museum
The Ecomuseo della Resistenza della Val Pellice brings together the municipalities of Angrogna, Bricherasio, Luserna San Giovanni and Torre Pellice through a networked documentation centre with multimedia equipment. It was created within the “Cultura materiale” project of the Province of Turin and received the three-year Herity certification for 2005–2007 and then for 2011–2013.
The aim is to reconstruct, through documents of every kind, the years of the Resistance in Val Pellice. In Bricherasio, in the San Michele locality, is the documentation centre, which houses the permanent exhibition “La guerra di Bastian”, inspired by the book of the same name by Pierfrancesco Gilli, and makes multimedia materials available for consultation.
The ecomuseum also includes the “Sentieri della Resistenza” system, divided into four sections that cover the territory of the municipalities involved and can be combined with one another. Route A runs entirely within the municipality of Bricherasio, starting and ending at the village primary school; itineraries C and D start in Angrogna and end in Bricherasio.
