About the museum
The museum occupies the former municipal building of the hamlet of Mocchie, in Condove, and shows how people lived in this part of the Susa Valley through household objects and working tools. The collections arise from donations by residents of the hamlet and of neighbouring villages, begun in 1997 and continued over the years; every piece is inventoried and catalogued.
The display is in two rooms: the first presents everyday household objects, the second the tools of farm work. The museum is run by a committee of volunteers in cooperation with the Pro Loco di Condove.
It overlooks the square in front of the parish church of San Saturnino, where a statue dedicated to mountain women stands.
