About the museum
The museum occupies part of the small palazzo that the Cuneo family donated to the Comune di San Colombano Certenoli in 1905. The final layout is still in progress.
The “Sala ricordi” (memorabilia room) holds furniture, objects and books belonging to the family, including a rare Venetian edition of 1571 of the life of Christopher Columbus written by his son Fernando, as well as pipes and musical instruments from the late 19th century and fragments of the plaque linked to the Torre conspiracy of 1672. Another room recreates an old cobbler’s workshop with original tools and materials, and a third section presents the furnishings of a local shop. Outside, agricultural and wine-making machinery and equipment are on display.
