About the museum
The Museo Nazionale del Motociclo in Rimini grew out of a passion for two-wheelers and their history, and has been Italy’s first motorcycle museum open to the public since 1993.
The collection numbers about 250 motorcycles from 55 makes, arranged by theme. The makers represented include Aermacchi, Benelli, Bimota, BSA, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta, Norton, Piaggio and Triumph. The route begins with the pioneers, with the French Werner and the Italian Frera and Stucchi machines of the early 20th century, continues with Moto Guzzi road and racing models between the wars, and includes a section devoted to Italian and foreign sidecars.
The museum hosts public events that enrich its programme each year, such as a classic motorcycle rally with a tour and a market in Rimini in June, and a swap meet for classic cars and motorcycles in Cesena.
