About the museum
The Museo ornitologico di Mazara del Vallo belongs to the municipality and is ornithological and taxidermic in type. It was set up by decision of the municipal administration: an agreement of 1985 with the Unione Cacciatori di Mazara made it possible to show the collection of taxidermied specimens to the public.
The display presents hundreds of birds, including common species such as the magpie, the jay and the wagtail, and some mammals.
