About the museum
The Museo parrocchiale d’arte sacra “Don G. Polo” opened in 1978 in Dozza, in the historic centre near the church of the Assunzione della Vergine. It holds furnishings and sacred objects from the churches of the surrounding countryside.
The exhibits include monstrances, reliquaries, chalices, liturgical vestments and crucifixes. The nearby parish church, documented from 1141, was rebuilt in the 15th century and houses Marco Palmezzano’s “Madonna col Bambino fra i santi Giovanni Battista e Margherita” (1492).
