About the museum

The museum is the studio house of the sculptor Ugo Guidi in Forte dei Marmi, in Via Matteo Civitali. It is run by Vittorio Guidi, the artist's son, with the support of the association Amici del Museo Ugo Guidi ETS, and in 2025 it celebrated twenty years of activity. The house museum was opened with the support of the FAI, the Associazione Nazionale Case della Memoria and the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane.

The house-workshop preserves over six hundred works by Ugo Guidi. A second venue, the MUG 2, is located in Massa in the Palazzo Vescovile, Via Alberica 26, and presents twenty-five works in four rooms.

Visits are arranged by telephone or email. The museum also organises temporary exhibitions, some of them free of charge, in other spaces around the town.
