About the museum
In Zungri, in the province of Vibo Valentia, there is a rock-cut settlement known as the “Città di Pietra” (Stone City) or Grotte degli Sbariati, which the municipality lists among its archaeological sites. The village consists of spaces carved out of the rock, and very few studies exist on its function and dating.
The site was chosen in 2022 as the setting for the film “Il monaco che vinse l'Apocalisse”, in which it stood in for Jerusalem. The sources consulted provide no information on the museum, opening times or ticket price.
