About the museum
The Riserva naturale Incisioni Rupestri di Ceto, Cimbergo e Paspardo covers about 300 hectares in central Valcamonica, in the territories of Nadro di Ceto, Cimbergo and Paspardo. The area contains over 500 decorated rocks, from prehistory to the High Middle Ages, spread across 25 archaeological areas; it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the rock engravings of Valcamonica.
The visit begins at the Museo di Nadro, which offers a ticket office, information, thematic rooms with reconstructed finds, documentary videos, casts and display panels. In 2022 rooms on Neolithic weaving and pottery were inaugurated, and the entrance, the bookshop, the refreshment area and the Area 42 exhibition space were renovated, with displays also on the Copper Age and the natural environment.
From the museum, one of the visit routes continues to the Foppe di Nadro, the Campanine di Cimbergo and the areas of Paspardo (Plas, Capitello, In Vall and Sottolaiolo). The itineraries allow visitors to explore rock art, archaeology, ethnography and the environment in a few hours or over several days. The reserve also offers guided tours, school activities and a dedicated app.
