About the museum
The Prehistoric Village is on the summit of Monte Corgnon, at Lusiana, and is one of the sites of the Museo Diffuso di Lusiana (dispersed museum of Lusiana). The archaeological finds made here show a place frequented and inhabited since the Neolithic, more than three thousand years ago, and later in the Bronze Age.
The reconstruction includes the potter’s hut with a slow potter’s wheel, the weaver’s hut with a vertical loom with weights, a shelter for bronze casting and spaces for working hides, which bring the visitor closer to the world of prehistory.
A wide range of experimental activities takes place on site: archery, grinding grain, flint knapping, use of the flywheel drill and decoration with natural dyes. The visit starts at the Museo Palazzon and reaches the top of Monte Corgnon along the nature trail that begins at the car park of the municipal gymnasium.
