About the museum
The centre is housed in a two-storey building that was built in the fortress in 1840–1845. The building is a monument of national significance, and it was formerly used for manufacturing and repairing weapons.
The exhibition occupies four zones covering about 2500 m²: industrial design and special transport, Soviet transport, motor transport and Western retro cars. On display are more than 40 retro cars, more than 80 motorcycles and mopeds, as well as a collection of accessories and models. The centre also tells the story of Daugavpils’ industrial heritage.
The centre offers tours in Latvian, Russian and English, creative workshops, an event courtyard and sessions within the programme “Latvijas skolas soma” (School Bag of Latvia).
