About the museum
The exhibition was created from a private collection gathered over more than thirty years. The rooms display old medical objects, photographs and documents. One room presents the healthcare institutions of Daugavpils that still operate today, while another is devoted to contraception and shows modern contraceptives. In 2023 the exhibition was supplemented by a section on Covid-19 and protective masks.
The exhibition was set up by an association for health promotion and education. Visitors are accompanied by volunteer guides with a medical education, who answer questions. The purpose of the contraception section is to reach young people.
