About the museum
The Specki-Tend is a small museum of the municipality of Schaan. It is located in the barn in the back courtyard of the property Specki 19, which was built after the great Speckibrand fire of 1874; the building history of the entire property goes back to that year.
Using information panels and displayed cultural objects, the exhibition recalls the fire of 1874, the wheelwright’s trade, which produced carts and tools for the rural population, and livestock breeding, which was an essential livelihood in the 19th century. The museum is one of the sites that the municipality manages together with the domus and the Landweibel-Huus. It is accessible for guided tours by request.
