About the museum
The house on J. Biliūnas Street was built in 1960 – it was the first building designed and built by Algirdas Mykolas Brazauskas himself. His parents, Sofija Peresilevičiūtė-Brazauskienė and Kazimieras Brazauskas, lived here until their deaths.
The house holds family possessions: furniture, photographs, manuscripts, books and the childhood things of the future president. The museum collects objects and visual material about the Brazauskai family, the president and Kaišiadorys. Events are held in the house; the yard has a garden with a view of the Kaišiadorys surroundings.
