About the museum
The Syndicat des Eaux du Sud (SES) is an association of municipalities that supplies the drinking-water reservoirs of its member municipalities. Its origins lie in plans to supply the villages of the Minette basin with drinking water together; operations began in 1912, and the pumping station at Koerich was built at that time.
When the Koerich pumping station was renovated, an interactive multimedia center was set up in 2009 with the educational exhibition THEMAQUA on drinking water, along with a new control room with laboratory and a training room. The SES sees the center as a contribution to public awareness, especially among children and young people.
