About the museum

Vitensenteret Innlandet in Gjøvik is an experience and learning centre for mathematics, natural science and technology. Visitors learn by experimenting themselves, and the centre has many rooms with installations, brain teasers, experiment stations and a ball pit room. It is one of thirteen regional science centres in Norway.

As the only centre in Innlandet, it has its own space room with a planetarium, where guests are taken on a journey inside and outside our galaxy. The centre is adapted for families with children aged five to twelve, and separate activity days are held for children and young people.

The educational offer ranges from kindergarten to upper secondary school for all of Innlandet, so weekdays are mainly reserved for school classes, kindergartens and other groups. Families and individual guests come at weekends and during school holidays.
