Niewidzialna Wystawa
Permanent exhibition in the Atlas Tower: a tour of six completely dark rooms led by blind and visually impaired guides.
Have only individual sections read aloud
About the museum
The Niewidzialna Wystawa (Invisible Exhibition) has been operating in Warsaw since 2011. It is a permanent exhibition in which visitors walk through arranged rooms in complete darkness and get to know them only through hearing, touch and smell.
The tour is led by blind and visually impaired guides. The dark rooms recreate scenes from everyday life, so visitors briefly swap roles with the guide: the guide moves freely in the dark, while the visitors depend on the guide’s help. Tours take place in groups of no more than eight people.
The exhibition is on the first floor of the Atlas Tower building on Aleje Jerozolimskie. The part in darkness lasts about an hour and is followed by a few minutes in a lit room. The Warsaw exhibition belongs to a network of similar exhibitions, which also operate in Budapest and Prague.
