About the museum

It is the seat of the municipal heritage and research services and promotes initiatives to know, conserve and publicise the natural and cultural heritage of the municipality. It addresses biodiversity, geology, palaeontology, archaeology, history and ethnology from the perspective of a “Museu da Paisagem” (Landscape Museum), and it also offers a programme of temporary exhibitions.
