About the museum
The Núcleo Museológico Islâmico is one of the extensions of the Tavira Municipal Museum and is located on the Praça da República, in the centre of the town. It presents an important archaeological ensemble from the Islamic period, the best known piece of which is the so-called Vaso de Tavira.
The unit is part of the multi-site museum whose central nucleus is the Palácio da Galeria. It has its own ticket, but can also be visited with a combined ticket with the Palácio da Galeria.
