About the museum
The municipality bought the wooden house from 1947 in 2016, and volunteers restored it using traditional methods. The first stage of the renovation is complete, and the interior with the museum exhibition is open to visitors. The exhibition is continuously supplemented and changed; according to the municipality, the aim is not quantity but quality. The centre also serves as a venue for meetings, lectures and events.
