About the museum
The Aula del Ferrocarril de Loredo occupies a former station of the narrow-gauge railway of Hulleras de Riosa S.A., in Lloreo (Mieres). Models and panels explain the history of the coal concession, which covered land in the municipalities of Riosa, Morcín and Mieres.
The content focuses on how the line worked and on the equipment, such as machinery and wagons, that carried coal production from the 19th century well into the 20th century.
