About the museum
Bosque Pétreo is one of the Dinópolis venues spread across the province of Teruel. They complement the paleontological park in the capital and share its calendar and combined tickets. The Castellote venue focuses on palaeogeography and explains how the terrestrial ecosystems of the area lived.
The visit shows how dinosaurs and mammals coexisted in Castellote about 125 million years ago. It includes a Carboniferous forest, fossils from nearby sites and audiovisual presentations.
The venues open only on the days listed in the annual Dinópolis calendar and close to the public at the end of the season. The visit is guided and lasts about one hour.
