About the museum
Eureka! Zientzia Museoa is an interactive science museum of Kutxa Fundazioa, located in the Miramón Technology Park in San Sebastián. It is conceived as a science outreach centre accessible to all ages, presenting information in an engaging way through handling objects and carrying out experiments.
The permanent exhibition brings together more than 172 interactive modules spread over eight thematic rooms, including Chispas de Energía (Sparks of Energy), devoted to electricity and magnetism, as well as spaces on the human body, the senses, light, the Earth and mechanics. The Animalia room recreates a tropical rainforest and a desert with species from both ecosystems, and the LOGIK room offers robotics and programming workshops with LEGO Education materials.
The museum also has a digital planetarium with 140 seats and a 14.5-metre dome, an astronomical observatory in a 30-metre tower, a Foucault pendulum in a 14-metre glass tower, and an electricity show. In the outdoor gardens there are models of heritage buildings of Gipuzkoa and a small botanical garden.
