L'Iber, Museo de los soldaditos de plomo

Private museum in a Gothic palace in the El Carmen district, with more than 100,000 historical miniatures across fifteen rooms.

Opening hoursAdmission €8 Partially accessible

About the museum

The museum grew out of the private collection of Álvaro Noguera, who for years had dreamed of showing it to the public. It opened in 2007 and is run by the Fundación Libertas 7, a non-profit body. According to the museum itself, it is the largest museum in the world devoted exclusively to lead toy soldiers.

It is housed in the Palace of the Marquesses of Malferit, a 15th-century building of Gothic origin located in the El Carmen district in the historic centre of Valencia. The rooms retain part of the decoration of a Valencian manor house.

The collection exceeds 100,000 historical miniatures, shown in fifteen rooms and spanning from Antiquity to the present day, with scenes and dioramas devoted to battles, armies and figures from different eras. In addition to the exhibition, the museum organises educational workshops, courses, lectures and book presentations, and has a shop-bookshop and a library.
