About the museum
La Huella del Hombre en Monfragüe is an interpretation centre in Serradilla (Cáceres), on Calle Cuatro Lobos, dedicated to the ethnography and archaeology of the Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve.
It has two rooms: one for ethnography and another for archaeology and history. They display the pieces of the Serradilla treasure, from the Tartessian period, and organise activities designed mainly for children, which introduce famous local figures and the local way of speaking in Serradilla.
At the same address is the Museo Etnográfico de Serradilla, a municipal space with photographs, costumes, objects and tools from rural trades, contributed by local residents, which covers the different historical phases of the town.
