About the museum
The museum is next to the archaeological site of Tiermes, an ancient Celtiberian and Roman city in the municipality of Montejo de Tiermes, in the province of Soria. It is designed as a complement to a visit to the ruins and brings together the materials recovered in the excavations carried out on the site.
The exhibition traces the historical development of the city through panels, posters, display cases and models. The pieces include weapons, bronze and ceramic ornaments, skeletal remains and Celtiberian grave goods, as well as objects from the Roman and medieval periods.
