About the museum
The Museo Taurino de Valdemorillo opened in 2007, during the local festivities, in the covered bullring of La Candelaria, next to the Puerta Grande. It is run by the Town Council and is dedicated to local bullfighting.
Its main holdings are the posters of the municipality’s bullfighting fairs since 1960, linked to the festivities of San Blas and the Virgen de la Candelaria. The room is also used for exhibitions on the history of the fair, such as “Valdemorillo, pasión taurina” (“Valdemorillo, Passion for Bullfighting”), opened in January 2022 with photographs and panels on the evolution of the bullfighting events.
