About the museum
The Museo Torre del Vino occupies the building of the former railway station of Socuéllamos, a town in the centre of La Mancha, the largest vineyard area in the world. The building is topped by an eleven-floor viewing tower of innovative architectural design, reached by a panoramic lift and offering views of the La Mancha plain and its sunsets.
The exhibition offers an interactive route through wine culture: its history, cultivation and vine care, the winemaking process, analysis methods, tasting, pairing, ceremonies and table service. It has a dedicated room for tastings.
The museum permanently runs an annual programme of experiences and activities around wine culture: tastings, show cooking, wine painting sessions, musical performances, aroma and flavour workshops and a programme for schoolchildren. It also has rooms with audiovisual resources for corporate events and training activities, and all its spaces are adapted for people with reduced mobility.
