About the museum
Toki-Alai is the reception and interpretation centre (parketxe) of the Urkiola Natural Park, about 200 metres from the Urkiola pass, on the climb to Mount Saibigain. From there there are views of the Urkiola sanctuary and of the ridge running from Alluitz to Anboto.
Its permanent interactive exhibition presents the natural park and includes an audiovisual projection. Among the exhibits a stuffed bear stands out; it is considered the last one to have lived in these mountains, about 150 years ago. The centre also provides information on routes, points of interest and tourism, from simple family itineraries to the ascent of Anboto.
