About the museum
Arvika Fordonsmuseum is run by the non-profit association Ideella föreningen Arvika Fordonsmuseum and is located in the old factory premises by Thermiavägen in Arvika. The collection consists of more than a hundred vehicles, which are exchanged and rotated from year to year. Most of the vehicles are lent by private individuals in Värmland, and some come from the Police's vehicle collection in Stockholm.
The museum places particular emphasis on unusual makes in original condition and on vehicles with local connections, such as bicycles from Arvika Velocipedfabrik and a pedal car from Arvika Vagnfabrik. Here are passenger cars from many decades, motorcycles, mopeds, light vehicles, horse-drawn carriages and sleighs.
In the same building is the Thermiamuseet, which tells the story of the development of the company Thermia from the start of production in 1923 to today's heat pumps. It shows, among other things, boilers, stoves and wood-fired water heaters, and a wood-burning stove from 1889. The ticket is valid for both museums.
