About the museum
The BP station in Björkfors opened in 1955 and was in use until the early 1980s. In 2001 it was opened as a nostalgia museum, and today the station is furnished as a petrol station as it looked in the 1950s and 1960s.
In the station there is a period shop interior. The lubrication pit remains, but there is no workshop, as the work was done outdoors. In summer, period cars and mopeds are parked outside.
In summer, party evenings with rock ’n’ roll and rockabilly are held, along with car, motorcycle and moped meetings. Groups must be booked in advance.
