About the museum
Eds MC- och Motormuseum is run by the association Club MCV Bohus-Dal, which was formed in 1994 and has about 120 members in Bohuslän and Dalsland. The association is a local branch of Club MC-Veteranerna Sverige. The museum has about 1,000 square metres of exhibition space, and the collections consist largely of objects owned by members or lent by private individuals.
The focus is on vintage motorcycles, mopeds and outboard motors from several countries, from the early 1900s to the 1950s, and on the fast Japanese machines. The museum also shows about a hundred chainsaws that tell the story of forestry in Dalsland, about fifty boat engines from the area’s lake-rich landscape and about 300 radio sets. There are also sewing machines, toys, model aircraft and older spanners.
