About the museum

Gotlands Bilmuseum is located in Vibble, about 4 km south of Visby near Kneippbyn, and presents itself as a day-trip destination for the whole family. The site has a collection of veteran cars from 1907 to 1970, from Rolls-Royce and American cars to an electric car and an amphibious car, and a collection of motorcycles from 1901 to the 1980s.

In addition there is a bicycle collection ranging from what may be the world's oldest factory-made bicycle to the present day, tractors from the country's oldest to the 1960s, traction engines (lokomobiler), model aircraft and a photo exhibition from the early 20th century. Visitors can play antique games, try riding a penny-farthing (höghjuling), and see an antique village shop (lanthandel) and petrol station.

On the site there is also the Smedstugan (smithy cottage), Gotland's oldest surviving simple dwelling house, with a smithy from the 1770s that is sometimes in operation, and a small mini Skansen with original native breeds. There is a go-kart track, an RC car track, radio-controlled boats, and an electric and pedal car track for children.
