About the museum

Nybloms kopparslageriverkstad (Nyblom Coppersmith Workshop) is a working-life museum at the Kämpens homestead museum in Bollnäs. The exhibition is based on the workshop run by the Nyblom family. The family were Bollnäs’ last coppersmiths with a master’s title, and in 1973 they donated the workshop’s fittings to Bollnäs local heritage society. The objects were then stored for many years.

With support from Riksantikvarieämbetet (the Swedish National Heritage Board), the association has prepared a permanent exhibition. The smaller objects were cleaned and sorted together with the master coppersmith Michaela Ivarsdotter, and a conservator cleaned and polished the copper objects. According to the local heritage society, it is one of Sweden’s best-preserved coppersmith workshops.

The museum was inaugurated during Hälsingegårdar Day (Hälsingegårdars dag) 2026. It is at Kämpens, a Hälsingegård (traditional Hälsingland farmhouse) near Bollnäs church, which since 1963 has been the homestead museum of Bollnäs parish.
