About the museum
Skulptörens verkstad is located at Spångvägen 23 in Kummelnäs in Nacka and is a small museum of the sculptor's craft. The workshop opened to the public in 2012 and shows crafts, exhibitions, workshops and films about the work of sculptors.
The association Renqvists verkstad (Renqvist's workshop) was formed in 2011 by eleven artists associated with Torsten Renqvist's art, all but one of them sculptors. The group began by casting their own sculptures in bronze in the estate's bronze foundry. Torsten Renqvist wanted the workshop to remain a place for artistic creation, and the association has built on that idea. The activity is run with operating grants from Nacka Municipality.
The Torsten Renqvist-sällskapet (society) manages and informs about his art, and the two associations sometimes cooperate. During open days visitors can join a viewing of Torsten Renqvist's studio, where he created most of his works.
