About the museum
Stig Carlsson collected and restored motorcycles, mopeds, engines and tractors for most of his life, and kept many of the vehicles in a cow barn at the farm in Flähult. Interest from other enthusiasts was great, but there was no room for visitors. In 1997 a one-day viewing was arranged, and after an extensive renovation of the barn the museum opened on the first Sunday in May 1999.
The collection grew, and in 2020 it was decided to build an extension because the space had run out. The new part opened on 1 May 2021 and houses the mopeds, while the motorcycles remain in the older part. Stig Carlsson died on 4 April 2021, and the family runs the museum on to honour his life's work.
In addition to motorcycles and mopeds, radios, telephones, televisions and other household machines are shown. Outdoors there are, among other things, hot-bulb engines, a stationary threshing machine and tractors.
