About the museum
The Munjara building was constructed in 1907 as Sisak’s first power station and modernised the town. After several years of renovation, a planetarium was set up in its central space.
The planetarium works with the DIGISTAR digital system by Evans & Sutherland, with 9K resolution projected onto a seamless dome 8.53 m in diameter. It shows content from astronomy and other STEM fields, real-time weather and geoscience data, and virtual explorations of Earth, the Moon and Mars. Alongside the planetarium are a reception hall and an outdoor amphitheatre with a high-resolution video wall and a sound system for cultural, educational and scientific events.
