About the museum
The Městské muzeum Špitálek is on Míru Street, No. 176, just a few steps from the historic town hall. It is run by the town of Frýdlant. After the premises were renovated, a new exhibition was solemnly opened here on 1 June 2012.
The thematic exhibitions are devoted to archaeology, crafts and the history of the town. A unique exhibit is the discovery of the foundations of a bread oven, a replica of which stands in the museum courtyard. The museum also includes a newly restored chapel with an original Pietà, which can also be visited separately without going into the building. In 2018 the exhibition was supplemented with interactive elements that take visitors, for example, to a period market.
The visit is self-guided and each visitor decides how long to spend. Admission is a joint ticket with the Městské muzeum Radnice and the town hall tower.

Admission is a joint ticket for all town facilities (Městské muzeum Radnice, Městské muzeum Špitálek and the town hall tower). Buying tickets for at least two facilities gives a reduced price. Tickets are sold at the tourist information centre and in both museums.
