About the museum
The Time Centre is in the castle tower of the Paide Order castle on Vallimägi, one of the oldest structures in the town, dating from the 13th century. The restored tower’s lift works like a time machine: visitors move through Estonian history from prehistory, through the age of knights and Order masters, the Tsarist period and the presidential era, the occupations and the restoration of independence.
The Time Centre is run by the Foundation Ajakeskus Wittenstein, which also organises the neighbouring Wittenstein Activity Museum.
