About the museum
The Järvamaa Museum moved into new buildings at Tallinna 9/11 in central Paide, where the activity museum now operates. The new museum was set up to present life in a 19th-century small town through workshops, objects and stories. The construction of the buildings and the creation of the exhibition cost about €2 million; the project was supported by the European Regional Development Fund, the Ministry of Culture, the City of Paide and the Foundation Ajakeskus Wittenstein.
